Roscrea RFC will be hosting the hugely popular Give it a try Rugby camp for girls this August. This will be the 3rd consecutive year for the camp at the club. It provides a great opportunity for those seeking a bit of healthy activity before returning to school, but also acts as a fun introduction to the sport for those considering joining one of the club’s girls teams. Roscrea Girls rugby currently offers rugby for girls aged 6 to 15 with Teams training, playing and competing at u10, u12, u14 and the recently added u16s levels. Roscrea RFC girls coordinator Ciara Maher and her team of club coaches have been busy, diligently organising and designing the programme to provide fun, exciting and action packed sessions for all involved. In recent years the camp has acted as an excellent showcase for the sport of rugby and girls rugby at the club has seen a large amount of new recruits as a result.
How to join in the fun!
All you need is a pair of boots or trainers, a water bottle and to arrive with a smile (guaranteed to leave with an even bigger smile). All the activities at the Give it a try rugby camp are game based and non contact with absolutely no Rugby experience necessary.
