There is an old saying, that good things come to those who wait!

The Roscrea RFC senior team became leinster league Div 3 champions in March of 2020 after an incredible season where they won every single game. Unfortunately, restrictions brought on by the sudden impact of covid 19 shortly afterwards put an end to any potential celebrations or presentations.

The popular end of year player awards, sponsored by Moloney sports Roscrea, eventually took place online in October and provided some excitement and generated a good deal of well received public interest. It helped provide the senior players with an opportunity to celebrate and mark their achievements in the 2019/2020 season and gave some positive closure while the players prepared for the 2020/21 fixtures to begin. It wasn’t until December when guidelines permitted, that the trophies were finally presented.

It’s well worth revisiting the 2019/20 player awards preview here.
